Nama A’Famosa Resort akan mengingatkan kembali kepada kita gambaran sejarah era pada masa lalu.  Namanya  diambil sempena kubu pertahanan Portugis pada zaman kurun ke 16 dahulu yang kini menjadi tinggalan sejarah di Bandar Melaka.
